Left shoe?

[edit]

What is the significance of the left shoe in his hand when he was found dead? Why is this information included? What's the source?--Biologos (talk) 13:23, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just deleted this unsourced and uninformative story.--Biologos (talk) 17:00, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Artaud "assumed control" of Surrealism?

[edit]

In 1925, Artaud effectively assumed control directing the surrealist movement, writing many articles for The Surrealist Revolution and running the Bureau of Surrealist Research, a loose affiliation of surrealists interested in exploring automatic writing, recording dreams and engaging in anything which rejected rationality. After about eighteen months, he grew increasingly frustrated by what he perceived as the surrealists' unwillingness to do any more than disrupt bourgeois art events and create scandal. They in turn, spearheaded by André Breton who possibly felt his leadership of the movement to be threatened by Artaud's dynamic energy and extreme radical commitment, set about ejecting him from the group after he publicly began to call their revolutionary "bluff".

I removed the preceding paragraph from the Paris subsection because the bold claims made --- that Artaud "Artaud effectively assumed control directing the surrealist movement," and that he was calling their "bluff" --- are unsourced. The latter claim, in fact, is simply an opinion. This should not be restored until some solid references are added. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 00:00, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Asexual Men category

[edit]

I have removed this article from the asexual men category as there is no mention in the article of him being asexual and I could not find any reliable published sources to suggest otherwise. Please feel free to add the article to the category again if I have made a mistake. Redtree21 (talk) 12:58, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Red Flood

[edit]

Hey, you think we should mention his role in the notorious Hearts of Iron IV mod "Red Flood" in the page's "Legacy and influence" section? y/n The Prophet of Sovereignty (talk) 13:35, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
