Sorry...

[edit]

I tried to adjust these pages, but only screwed them up... It wasn't vandalism, Just a misguided attempt at improvement. Scienceman123 16:14, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recurring vandalism by Fariyballerlover Information added by Fariyballerlover is incorrect, does make sense only in a mocking manner. If it were to be correct, it should be disambiguated to another article referring to the "fighting method". The ending "Peace" seems a 'farewell' which is inappropriate, adds frivolity. Plus the username isl suggestive... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Docarii (talkcontribs) 03:00, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

other song samples

[edit]

arrangements have been made to fit this style. A good example would be the song windmills of your mind, arranged by Francisco Paz from his album Hollywood goes latino. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.188.180.87 (talk) 02:36, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changing order of sections

[edit]

I changed the order of the sections by putting the history of Bomba before the characteristics. It makes more sense to describe the origins of the dance style before describing its characteristics. Dayal34 01:11, 05 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decondensing the Lead

[edit]

The lead was too detailed and repeated information found in the other sections of the article. I moved the detailed information to its respective section in order to make these sections more detailed. Dayal34 02:24, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

Ferreras cites André Pierre Ledru's Voyage aux îles de Ténériffe, la Trinité, Saint-Thomas, Sainte-Croix et Porto Ricco as the first written account of bomba. The Biodiversity Heritage Library has a scanned copy of the report (https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/271617#page/1/mode/1up) but I do not speak French. If anyone does, I think it would be nice to look over the text and see if any references to dance are worth including. Much obliged. CorazonDeTiza (talk) 02:39, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
